Line CookThe Madison Club is hiring for Line Cook who are passionate about food, beverage and the art of hospitality. Our company's objective is to provide exceptional food and create memories for our members and guests.Key Responsibilities:Continuously create and present new ideas to Executive ChefStock the kitchen with raw materials and ingredients dailyMaster all basic cooking methodsAcquire ingredients daily for assigned stationHelp and prepare food items as per standard recipe cards whilst maintaining portion control and minimizing wasteMaintain and clean equipment on a regular basisPromptly report any hazards, unsafe working conditions, or equipment which requires repair/maintenanceAttend department meetings as necessaryAdhere to all Department of Health food & safety standardsComply with company and department policies and procedures at all timesCarry out any other duties as and when assigned by the Management of the Hotel and departmentMaintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and storage areas at all timesExecution of recipes and ability to follow recipes and all house-made ingredients promptly and efficientlyAll food should be plated and presented accordinglyDemonstrate sense of urgency for responding to guest needs during all interactionsAny other duties as assignedSkills and Qualifications:1-2 years of full-service restaurant experience as a Line Cook or relevant position preferredPossess CA Food Handlers Card (FHC) - Must obtain certification within 7 Days of HireUnderstanding food safety, sanitation, and ServSafe practices.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and verbal instructions accurately.Additional Requirements:Ability to work in a team environmentDegree/Certification(s) recommendedAbility to stay calm and focused during the busiest of timesAbility to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holiday and a shift greater than eight (8) hours in lengthAbility to read, write, speak and understand English; additional languages preferredAbility to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than four (4) hours, and lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing and pullingMust be able to lift 40 lbs.Benefits:Competitive PayMedical, Dental, and Vision Benefits401k ContributionPaid Time Off and Paid HolidaysEmployee Meals, Referral Incentives, and Recognition ProgramsProfessional development and upward mobility opportunitiesWork-Family CultureThe Company's good faith estimate of the hourly rate it expects to pay for this role is $21-$31 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
