Qualifications

• Current certification and license as a Certified School Nurse (CSN) in Illinois
• Registered Nurse credentials with relevant experience in school settings or with youth
• Ability to effectively manage a school health office, prioritize, and multitask
• Competence in conducting medical assessments and writing detailed health reports
• Strong collaboration skills for interdisciplinary work, especially in special education support meetings

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the school health office
• Conduct and maintain up-to-date student medical reviews, screenings, and health plans
• Participate fully in developing and monitoring IEPs and 504 plans
• Communicate with staff, parents, and external providers regarding students health needs
• Respond promptly to health emergencies and provide direct care and education on site
