Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 24-bed IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3 or 1:4 based on acuity
• Monitor and manage patients presenting with dysrhythmias, cardiopulmonary conditions, sepsis, and high-flow oxygen needs
• Administer and titrate IV medication drips including dopamine, levophed, cardizem, heparin, precedex, nitro, amiodarone, dobutamine, and nicardipine
• Care for behavioral health patients requiring IV drip medications
• Manage high patient throughput consistent with a fast-paced stepdown environment
• Rotate weekend shifts, working up to every other weekend

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Experience in an IMC, PCU, or Stepdown setting
• Proficiency in administering and managing vasoactive and cardiac IV drip medications
• Ability to care for high-acuity patients including those with sepsis and cardiopulmonary conditions

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing dysrhythmias and high-flow oxygen therapy
• Familiarity with caring for behavioral health patients in an acute care environment
• Comfort working in a high-throughput stepdown unit
