Job Type: Direct Hire Location: Ann Arbor, MI 48105 Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (Hybrid 2 days in office, 3 days remote) Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Compensation: $90K - $105K Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, 401K Match, PTO, Sick Time Position Overview Sanford Rose-JFS Partners is seeking a Payroll Supervisor to oversee the full‑cycle payroll function for its U.S. operations. The role provides hands‑on payroll leadership while supervising a small team of payroll professionals and collaborating with internal stakeholders across multiple business units. The ideal candidate is a detail‑oriented, process‑driven payroll professional who quickly adapts to a fast‑paced environment, meets critical deadlines, and ensures payroll accuracy. Responsibilities Oversee and execute full‑cycle payroll processing for U.S. operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable regulations. Supervise, mentor, and support a team of 1–2 Payroll Specialists. Partner with plant leadership, finance teams, HR, and other internal stakeholders to resolve payroll‑related issues and improve processes. Support payroll activities for both plant employees and corporate/steering organization personnel across the United States. Review and balance payroll hours, earnings, deductions, and adjustments prior to payroll processing. Load and validate additional payments, special earnings, bonuses, and payroll adjustments as needed. Generate payroll reports and interface payroll data with financial systems. Prepare manual payroll‑related journal entries and support the transfer of payroll information from the payroll system into Oracle. Run payroll reports and upload required data files from UKG into Oracle. Manage payroll cash clearing activities and reconciliations as part of the month‑end close process. Ensure payroll‑related accounting activities are completed accurately and on schedule to support month‑end close deadlines. Meet strict month‑end reporting requirements, with payroll close activities completed by the 3rd business day of each month. Develop, maintain, and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, compliance, and process efficiency. Identify opportunities for payroll process improvements and implement best practices. Qualifications 5+ years of progressive payroll experience, including payroll processing and payroll accounting responsibilities. Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred. Experience managing high‑volume, multi‑state payroll operations. Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and payroll compliance requirements. Experience with payroll‑related general ledger processes, reconciliations, and journal entries. Experience working with Oracle or similar ERP systems preferred. Experience with UKG UltiPro is highly preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
