The Dental Assistant will support a small privately owned general dentistry practice focused on preventive care and restorative procedures. Reporting to the dental office owner, this role will help ensure efficient patient care, well-prepared operatories, accurate treatment documentation, and a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for preventive and restorative dental procedures.
• Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Set up and break down operatories for scheduled treatments.
• Perform instrument sterilization and maintain infection control standards.
• Must be able to take digital dental radiographs.
• Educate patients on treatment-related information and care instructions.
• Support appointments and maintain accurate treatment documentation.
• Monitor and manage dental supplies and materials.

Required Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental radiography and radiation safety practices.
• Understanding of infection control and instrument sterilization.
• Experience with four-handed dentistry and dental charting.
• Knowledge of dental materials and terminology.
• Strong patient communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with the dental team.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in dental assisting.
• Dental assisting certificate or diploma.
• Registered Dental Assistant credential.
• Radiation safety certification.
