Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking experienced Registered Nurse for operating room positions requiring specialized surgical experience. The role involves providing high-quality perioperative care within a dynamic surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and assist in surgical procedures across multiple specialties including Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics.
• Monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia during surgeries, intervening as necessary.
• Prepare operating rooms with appropriate sterile equipment and supplies prior to procedures.
• Document surgical events, patient responses, and procedural details accurately.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver seamless patient care.
• Adhere strictly to hospital policies, safety standards, and compliance requirements throughout all tasks.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license in Georgia or a Compact license.
• Possess a minimum of 3 years of circulating or scrub nurse experience in an operating room setting.
• Demonstrate proficiency with neurology, transplant, general, GYN, and orthopedic surgeries.
• Be fully compliant with hospital and federal healthcare regulations prior to employment.
• Show ability to work variable shifts including day hours and weekends.
• Ensure compliance with travel and orientation policies for job eligibility.
