Registered Nurse Operating Room

Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, a state-of-the-art facility within the HCA Virginia Health System, is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse Operating Room to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide safe, evidence-based perioperative nursing care to surgical patients before, during, and after procedures in a fast-paced operating room environment. You will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes, from pre-op assessments and patient education through intraoperative monitoring and post-anesthesia handoff. Responsibilities include circulating and, as appropriate, scrubbing for a variety of surgical specialties, verifying consents and site markings, maintaining a sterile field, managing surgical instruments and supplies, administering medications per protocol, and accurately documenting all aspects of care. You will advocate for patient safety, follow all infection prevention and regulatory standards, participate in surgical time-outs and safety checks, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition. This is a full-time operating room nursing opportunity with a hybrid of scheduled shifts, participation in call rotation, and the expectation to work on-site in the surgical services department to deliver exceptional care to our community.
