As a Shift Leader, you'll play a key role in leading restaurant operations, supporting team members, and ensuring guests receive exceptional service during every shift. Responsibilities Oversee restaurant operations during assigned shifts. Support the General Manager and Assistant Manager in daily operations. Coordinate opening and closing procedures, including security protocols. Assign tasks and manage team productivity throughout the shift. Ensure proper staffing levels based on business volume. Customer Service Deliver exceptional guest experiences and maintain high customer satisfaction. Greet customers and assist with orders in a friendly, professional manner. Resolve customer concerns and support service recovery efforts. Ensure speed of service goals are achieved. Team Development Train and coach team members on operational procedures and new products. Support employee development and performance improvement. Monitor break compliance and assist team members as needed. Operations & Compliance Conduct inventory checks and maintain accurate inventory records. Receive and verify food deliveries. Maintain restaurant cleanliness and compliance with health and safety standards. Perform cash handling responsibilities, audits, deposits, and register management. Uphold Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (QSC) standards. Requirements Must Have High School Diploma or GED preferred. At least 1 year of restaurant supervisory or leadership experience OR certification on all EPL SPECS positions. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities during busy shifts. Basic cash handling and operational management skills. Ability to complete and pass the EPL Food Safety Audit (FSA) class after hire if required. Nice to Have Previous shift lead, team lead, assistant manager, or restaurant supervisor experience. Experience training and coaching team members. Inventory management experience. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
