Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking experienced ICU RNs for an acute care unit providing specialized critical care services. The role involves managing complex patient cases with a focus on respiratory failure, arrhythmias, detox, and other critical conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients, including those requiring ventilators and invasive lines.
• Titrate and manage complex drips such as propofol, cardizem, insulin, precedex, and levo.
• Administer medications and interventions per physician orders, ensuring patient safety.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including RTs, house supervisors, and hospitalists.
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain detailed charting.
• Support unit orientation and participate in ongoing education and training sessions.

Qualifications:

• Valid and unexpired RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, including ventilator management.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications.
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry monitor strips.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and rotating holidays.
