You're a Tax Manager at a firm where the work is solid but the path forward isn't. You're good at what you do - individuals, closely held businesses, partnerships, real estate - but you're not sure when the next step is coming or what it actually looks like.This is a different kind of role.An established, multi-office, independent CPA firm in Irvine is growing its tax department and looking for a Tax Manager to come in, own a client portfolio, and grow with the firm over the next five years. Several partners are retiring over that period - they're bringing people in now, not scrambling later so the path to a more senior role is real and it's being planned properly.The firm is technology-forward, privately owned, and turning down private equity. The client base is varied - small businesses, professionals, real estate, partnerships - and the work reflects that. They have a solid team of Associates and Seniors, so you'll play an active role in managing and mentoring the team too.

What They're Looking For

• CPA with 6+ years in public accounting
• Broad income tax generalist - individuals, S-corps, partnerships, C-corps
• Someone who wants to own client relationships, not just support them
• Motivated by progression

Hybrid - Irvine office a few days a week, rest from home.
