About the Position

Job Title: Labor and Delivery RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required, with at least one prior travel assignment. License: Must have a valid nursing license in hand. Certifications: C-EFM through NCC required ACLS BLS NRP STABLE Must-Have: High risk labor and delivery experience Description: Labor and Delivery RN required for a high-risk unit. NRP, STABLE, and C-EFM through NCC certifications are required. Candidates must have high-risk experience and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Call is required with a commitment of 36 hours in 6 weeks or 12 hours per pay period. Nurses must be on-premises within 45 minutes of receiving a call. Every other weekend and holiday shifts are mandatory. Floating required within skillset to areas such as Mom/Baby and postpartum. Skills required include circulating, fetal heart monitoring, triage experience preferred. Administration of blood and blood products, newborn assessments, and discharge teaching to parents are essential skills. Candidates must be knowledgeable in recognizing and treating abnormal fetal heart rate patterns. Knowledge of epidural anesthesia, use of infusion pumps, and labor management is required. The unit features an interdisciplinary support team for enhanced patient care. Daily patient census is approximately 4, with a structured patient ratio. Nurses will engage with a diverse patient population, including neonates and adults.
