About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Valid Compact License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:3 Experience with charting systems, specifically Epic Preferable experience in Level II trauma centers Description: This position will primarily focus on providing care in a fast-paced emergency room environment. You will be responsible for managing a patient ratio of 1:3. Weekend shifts are required, with 6 shifts every 6 weeks. Candidates must possess current certifications, including ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC. A minimum of 2 years of experience in the emergency room is a hardstop requirement. The role does not involve floating between units. On-call duty is not required for this position. The facility is a Level II trauma center with a diverse patient population. Nurses will manage a variety of patient conditions, including strokes, trauma, and chest pain. This position requires strong assessment and critical thinking skills in a high-pressure environment. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care. Nurses are expected to follow strict protocols for patient safety and infection control.
