Job Description Job Description Summary: The Director of IT Infrastructure Engineering is responsible for making recommendations, establishing, implementing, and the control of best practices for IT Infrastructure and Technology throughout Oneida Innovations Group, (O.I.G.) - This includes evaluating, defining and recommending the best technology in support of O.I.G. business goals and objectives. The Director of IT Infrastructure will recommend, manage and ensure his /her staff understands and drives toward a strong and stable technology infrastructure in support of Oneida Innovations Group. Responsibilities: Effectively oversees; and is responsible for the management of several technical teams consisting of Network Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, System Engineering, and Database Management. The Director of IT Infrastructure Engineering is responsible for the strategic planning and continuous improvement of the design, implementation, and support of the organization's IT systems and voice/data network infrastructure. Provides long-term vision and strategy as it pertains to database, system, telecommunications and network architecture, support, and management. Ensures all employees are working towards the common IT vision, strategy, and direction. Develops new and improved systems, telecommunications and network services to meet the needs of new programs, facilities, and evolving business requirements. Consistently works to enable smooth workflow between all groups within Oneida Innovations Group IT. Ensures each team has the resources necessary to accomplish their jobs. Effectively conducts presentations at the executive level to obtain project approvals. Effectively communicates to upper level management by translating technology needs to infrastructure requirements. Reviews and approves budgets for each team. Reviews and recommends technical standards. Identifies and recommends strategic direction for servers, hosts, and system infrastructure; as well as systems monitoring and management practices. Addresses any infrastructure break/fix items in a timely fashion, works to identify the root cause as well as eliminate future occurances Consistently evaluates new technologies. Consistently maintains technical familiarity with all O.I.G. core platforms. Introduces new technologies into the organization as appropriate (proactive) to improve business processes. Consistently anticipates uses for new technologies within our organization. Mentor and evaluate members of the staff Implement career progression requirements for staff and monitor growth and performance. Maintain a calm, professional demeanor in a fast paced environment where dynamic business demands cause consistent shifts in priorities and timelines for deliverables. Fosters a collaborative team environment even when the department is under pressure to perform and deliver results against business critical initiatives. Minimum Requirements: Must have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science (or relevant discipline) and at least 10 years experience in the information technology field engineering. May substitute 14 years relevant experience for degree. Must have at least 8 years of management experience in an engineering environment. Must have extensive experience in managing large and complex budgets in a sophisticated and collaborative business environment. Possesses strong understanding and design skills in Network configuration, Systems configuration, Database and Application design, Network and Data Security design and configuration, disaster recovery and high availability, and Storage and Virtual environments. Full certification required in at least one core platform. Must exhibit a good understanding of casino/hotel environment and computing operations within; and how business structure is affected by changes. Must be knowledgeable of 24x7 operations. Must possess an understanding of project management skills including: Project planning and experience in a Matrix Methodology Detail-oriented Project Execution and follow-through Must be educated on upcoming trends within the industry and market. Must have security and compliance experience including PCI, HIPPA, and SOX. Must have valid driver's license. Must understand network security including Firewall design and deployment.
