As part of a Level IV trauma center and a stroke-designated hospital, the Cardiopulmonary Therapy team supports patients whose needs may range from routine respiratory treatment and diagnostic services to urgent, higher-acuity intervention. This environment gives the Managing Respiratory Therapist broad clinical exposure, meaningful operational responsibility, and the ability to advance safe, responsive respiratory care while ensuring technology supports—not replaces—sound clinical judgment.
In the Manager Respiratory Therapy Services role, the selected leader will collaborate with hospital administration and clinical leadership to oversee daily department operations, staff support, scheduling, workflow coordination, clinical quality, patient safety, regulatory readiness, education, and performance improvement. The Managing Respiratory Therapist will mentor respiratory care professionals, encourage consistent practice standards, coordinate effectively with nurses and medical providers, and help remove operational barriers that affect timely patient care. Rather than operating at a distance, this respiratory therapy manager will remain connected to frontline needs, balancing strategic priorities with practical support for the clinicians delivering care each day.
