P-Physical Therapist Assistant

Position: Physical Therapist Assistant - Geriatric Salary Range: $28-$34 per hour, 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday with weekend rotation. Job Description This client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physical Therapist Assistant to join its team and provide specialized care to its geriatric patients. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work closely with our team of physical therapists to provide high-quality rehabilitation services to our elderly patients. Key Responsibilities Conduct initial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for geriatric patients under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Perform therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patients' strength, mobility, and range of motion. Utilize modalities such as heat, cold, and electrical stimulation to relieve pain and promote healing. Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for performing exercises and activities at home. Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient treatment and progress. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of practice. Qualifications Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current state license or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with geriatric patients. Strong knowledge of geriatric conditions and treatment techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
