Over the years, we have iterated over 50 generations of base/gripper/vision system design and we are still polishing to make it better. We grow together, and we grow fast.The Job: Collaborating with the hardware team to brainstorm and fast-pace prototype new ideas and concepts.Leading junior engineers to complete full cycles of plan/execute/test in complex projects. Communicating with OEMs for design feedbacks and iterations.Supporting the assembly, testing, and validation of robotic prototypes and products. Instructing technicians/lab workers to optimize workload.Assisting in the analysis and optimization of mechanical designs for performance, durability, and cost-effectiveness.Participating in design reviews and providing feedback on mechanical designs.Documenting design iterations, test results, and project progress.Investigating and troubleshooting issues of the robotics system. Develop and implement targeted solutions as well as documentation to reduce potential failures in future.Sharing your knowledge and skills with your teammates, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and growth.You: Holds a degree in fields such as Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent. 2+ year of industry experience.Mentality for fast prototyping and testing.Previous experience of mechanical design, drawings (SolidWorks), GD&T, building and integration of any kind of robotic platforms. Student competition experience (Battle bot, Baja, F-SAE, etc.) is a plus. Hands-on experience with prototyping tools and shop equipment, including 3D printers, power tools, and hand tools.Understanding of manufacturing processes such as sheet-metal, weldment, machining.Highly motivated teammate with excellent oral and written communication skills.
