Position Summary Collaborates with business partners to learn skills required to maintain, repair, and overhaul trailers and equipment. Major Tasks and Responsibilities * Repairs and maintains systems and parts associated with class 6,7, and 8 diesel-powered tractors, trailers, and forklifts. * Diagnosis failures and makes repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other vehicles.

• Operates and uses specialized equipment
• Uses hydraulic jacks to lift heavy trucks and cars to perform maintenance

work underneath the vehicles. * Troubleshoots and repairs heavy truck engines, braking, electrical, cooling, and exhausting systems. * Assists in maintaining accurate records of repairs, schedules, and parts inventory. * Follows safety protocols and procedures when handling heavy equipment. Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Working knowledge of hand tool repairs on class 6,7, and 8 trucks.
