Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (3x12 Hours, 7:00–19:00) | Onsite | Every other weekend required | Must commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across Labor and Delivery, including antepartum, labor/high-risk, and triage areas
• Perform fetal heart monitoring and high-risk pregnancy monitoring
• Assist with and support vaginal deliveries and C-sections
• Participate in newborn care and delivery room support
• Float to postpartum unit for couplet care (maternal and newborn) as needed based on staffing
• Chart accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Valid RN license for the state of California; compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification or NCC EFM certification required
• ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, and FHM certifications required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from facility to qualify for travel rates
• No background hits; facility does not accept Nursys or background discrepancies

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Ability to perform newborn role in the delivery room
• Experience with postpartum couplet care (maternal and newborn)
• Familiarity with Epic EMR charting system
