Job Opportunity

Position: CT/X-Ray Technologist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT/X-Ray Technologist for an overnight position encompassing Friday through Sunday from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM. The successful candidate will be the sole technologist on duty overnight and will be responsible for performing both CT and X-ray procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Perform CT and X-ray imaging procedures independently during overnight shifts.
Ensure patient safety and comfort while conducting imaging procedures.
Administer and manage the preparation and administration of contrast media as needed.
Follow all radiation safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Collaborate with healthcare staff to provide quality patient care.

Requirements

Valid ARRT certification in CT and Radiography (ARRT CT, ARRT R).
At least 1 year of experience as a CT/X-ray Technologist.
Experience with the Epic charting system is preferred.
Ability to work independently, particularly during overnight shifts.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to perform venipuncture and start peripheral IVs.

Type of Facility: Short Term Acute Care Hospital
Total Staff Beds: 59
Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
Daily Census: Varies based on patient flow
Imaging Equipment: Must be familiar with various imaging techniques including 3D rendering and multiplanar reconstruction.

Additional Information

This position requires work on weekends: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday overnight.
Orientation includes 32 hours of training before the start.
Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.
No call or float expected; however, you may be required to assist in a nearby facility if needed.
