Job Opportunity: Geriatric Psychiatrist

We aim to innovate treatment methods while training the future leaders in psychiatry.

• Function as a full-time attending physician within the Geriatric Psychiatry Division.
• Deliver psychiatric care to both new and returning patients.
• Engage in teaching opportunities for fellows, residents, and medical students.
• Participate in case conferences and contribute to administrative and educational meetings.
• Optionally engage in research activities, including clinical trials, quality improvement initiatives, and the formulation of evidence-based practices and specialized treatments.
• Fulfill inpatient on-call duties as part of the faculty call rotation.

The position is designed to allocate approximately 80% of time to clinical care, with the remaining 20% dedicated to administrative tasks, teaching, or research. The distribution of time may be adjusted based on research funding or related activities.

• Possession of an MD or DO degree.
• Completion of a four-year residency in psychiatry, along with a fellowship in geriatric psychiatry.
• Candidates must either hold or be eligible for a medical license in Georgia.
• Must be board certified or board eligible.

Most responsibilities are expected to be carried out in-person at a designated location. However, options for remote work may be available at the discretion of the department. The organization reserves the right to modify remote work arrangements with prior notice to the employee.
