Journeyman Electricians – $50/hr + $178/Day Per Diem

We are actively hiring Licensed Journeyman Electricians to join a long-term hyperscale data center project in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This is a high-paying, steady opportunity offering consistent hours, per diem 7 days/week, and the chance to work on one of the largest construction projects in the area.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Journeyman Electrician on this project, you will be responsible for:

• Installing and terminating overhead and underground primary feeders

• Setting and wiring pad-mounted transformers, switchgear, and metering equipment

• Building grounding and bonding systems (ground rings, rods, and grids)

• Performing medium-voltage cable pulls, splicing, and terminations

• Installing and connecting service entrance equipment

• Setting up and testing switchgear and switchboards

• Working with protective relays and utility metering systems

• Routing and securing large conduit banks and bus duct systems

• Testing and verifying installations to manufacturer specs and safety standards

✅ What You Need

• Active Journeyman Electrician License

• Iowa OR reciprocating states: AK, AR, CO, MN, MT, NE, NH, ND, OK, SD, TX, WI, WY

• Experience in industrial or commercial construction

• Strong skills in:

• Conduit bending and installation

• Wire pulling

• Medium-voltage systems (preferred)

• Ability to work safely in a large-scale, fast-paced jobsite

• Project: Hyperscale Data Center (7-building campus)

• Safety-first jobsite with strict compliance standards

• Schedule:

• Monday–Saturday

• 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Plenty of hours available)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00/hr.
