Job Details Job Title: A&P Mechanic III Location: Englewood, CO Zip Code: 80112 Duration: 12 Months Pay Rate: $40/hr. Start Date: Immediate *Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance* Duties As an A&P Mechanic III, you will be responsible for repairs, replacement, and maintenance of key components of aircraft. You will perform checks of mechanical and functional components, test and replace defective parts, diagnose parts using tools, and ensure compliance with national and international standards while maintaining safety and cleanliness in the hangar or workshop. You will demonstrate knowledge in airframe maintenance, power plant mechanics, or A&P components. Physical / Mental / Emotional Requirements Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps. Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motions many times to include dexterity. Requires vision abilities to include close, distance, depth perception, and color discrimination. Requires hearing abilities to discern different tones and volumes. Frequently lift or carry up to 50 lbs. Working Conditions Frequently exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.). Frequently exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials. Frequently exposed to loud noises. Safety Sensitive Position Responsible for safety or security of people or property; inspects, handles, or transports explosives, dangerous or hazardous materials. Inspects structures, equipment or vehicles. Performs aviation related duties. Operates or supervises vehicles, heavy or dangerous equipment or machinery. Skills Must-haves Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification with no prior FAA violations. Reliable transportation to and from work locations. Own tools in good working order. Ability to speak, read, and write in English. Pass and maintain Class 3 Physical requirements, including hearing capabilities to understand technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and publications. Advanced skills in repairing, maintaining, and/or troubleshooting aircraft airframes and engines. Preferred FAA repair station and/or Quality Assurance experience. Ability to travel regularly and/or work different shifts including overtime and weekends. Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS). Background in Aerospace and Defense, US Department of Defense, or US Military. Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance. Education Must-haves High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 5 or more years of relevant experience. A higher level degree may substitute for experience. Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education. Certifications & Licenses Class 3 Physical. FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification. Belcan is an equal opportunity employer.
