Software Engineer 3 - Contingent

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Software Engineer.

Position type: Full-time, Contract (W2)
Duration: 12 Months Contract w/ extension.
Location: Charlotte, NC/ St. Louis, MO/ New York, NY/ New Jersey, NJ - 3 days hybrid on-site role

As a Software Engineer, you will:

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Lead complex technology initiatives with broad organizational impact.
• Develop standards and best practices for engineering large-scale and complex technology solutions.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document software projects and programs.
• Review and analyze large-scale technology solutions to meet tactical and strategic business objectives, considering enterprise environment and technical challenges.
• Support and participate in the development of APIs, microservices, and AI software tools, utilizing cloud-native architectures like Kubernetes.
• Ensure compliance with security practices and support deployment through CI/CD pipelines and modern developer tooling.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Demonstrated experience in software engineering, with a focus on Java development and API/microservice design.
• Experience supporting trading, market data, or FIX-based systems is desirable.
• Hands-on experience with building RESTful services using frameworks such as Spring Boot.
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, including container platforms like Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub workflows, and modern development tools like Visual Studio Code.
• Working knowledge of software architecture, solution design principles, and application security practices.
• Experience supporting AI software development tools such as GitHub Copilot or AI Agents.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $50 - $55 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
