As a remote mental health counselor, you will operate in a flexible and supportive telehealth environment, enabling you to deliver services from the comfort of your own home. With a regular work schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, you will have clear and defined working hours.

  • Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions focused on emotional well-being, coping strategies, and life transitions for seniors.

  • Educate family members and non-clinical staff on best practices for supporting seniors' emotional health, including strategies for communication and engagement.

  • Provide specialized grief counseling services for residents and their families facing loss and end-of-life issues, creating a safe space for open dialogue.

  • Design and lead cognitive stimulation programs aimed at fostering mental acuity among elderly clients dealing with cognitive decline.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with older adults who are dealing with a range of mental health challenges associated with aging, including grief, depression, anxiety, and cognitive impairments. Our patient population often comprises individuals coping with significant life changes, such as retirement, relocation, and health-related losses. Understanding the unique complexities of geriatric psychology is essential to effectively support our clients.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is required.

  • A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) licensure is mandatory.

  • A minimum of 4 years of recent experience providing geriatric counseling or mental health support to older adults.

  • Training or specialization in mental health issues specific to aging populations is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The starting salary for this position ranges between $70,000 and $100,000 annually, complemented by a sign-on bonus as an additional incentive.
