Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (schedule may vary each day based on case start times) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform circulating RN duties across multiple surgical specialties including ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, GYN, and Plastic Surgery
• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and available resources

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Texas or a compact state license
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an Operating Room or surgical nursing specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association only
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – American Heart Association only
• Demonstrated experience circulating in surgical specialties (ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, GYN, and/or Plastic Surgery)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Experience managing contingencies in a fast-paced surgical environment with varying daily case start times
• Ability to make appropriate assignments and delegate effectively to other care team members
