Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor leads maintenance teams within our MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) operations. Typically coming from an A&P mechanic background, the supervisor oversees day-to-day maintenance, ensures compliance with FAA 145 regulations, manages workflows on multiple aircraft, and supports continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to meet quality and schedule requirements.

Minimum requirements and qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, five (5) years' experience in heavy aircraft maintenance, including two (2) years in a supervisory capacity, or the demonstrated ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A preferred valid Airframe & Powerplant license, minimum of A License, previous FAA 145 Repair Station experience, proficiency in the interpretation of blueprints, technical orders, test equipment, and various aircraft components and systems, working knowledge of computer software packages used within the facility, a sense of leadership under all circumstances and conditions, the ability to multi-task and manage workflows on multiple aircraft, the ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and overtime, and successfully passing mechanical, structural, and avionics assessments are also required.

Major responsibility areas and duties include providing oversight to ensure maintenance and documentation is in compliance, assigning maintenance tasks and personnel, evaluating and estimating maintenance time and cost, providing oversight and co-signing with uncertificated mechanics, signing documents for the repair station, coordinating maintenance plans with other departments, identifying training needs, tools, and special equipment required, ensuring the responsible mechanic properly executes all necessary work records, monitoring and updating flow plans as required, supervising maintenance performed by un-certificated mechanics or personnel unfamiliar with the methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools, providing on-the-job training to crew members as required, ensuring all parts and materials are ordered as required to maintain schedule, maintaining daily turnover reports for each oncoming shift, and maintaining the hangar and aircraft cleanliness at all times.

Additional duties include performing all other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.

Authority includes maintaining authority over all activities of the assigned work crew.

Physical requirements include knowledge of use of protective equipment and safety protocol related to the possible exposure to dust, body fluids, radiation, chemicals, fumes, vapors, or mists that could potentially affect the health of the employee, knowledge of use of protective equipment and safety protocols related to handling hazardous materials, knowledge of fall protection requirements, ability to withstand exposure to constant or intermittent loud/high noise levels, ability to have close vision or clear vision at 20 inches or less, ability to have distance vision or clear vision at 20 feet or more, and ability to have depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships).
