Job Description
Pediatric Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to join our team. This position involves providing comprehensive care in a pediatric medical-surgical unit and may require floating to the NICU and Mother Baby units as needed. A training day will be provided for these additional responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective nursing care to pediatric patients.
• Cooperate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float to NICU and Mother Baby units as required, following training.
• Maintain patient documentation in Cerner charting system.

Patient Ratios

The typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric nursing experience required.
• Current BLS and PALS certifications are required.
• Candidates must possess an in-state nursing license and required certifications prior to submission.

Work Schedule

• Required to work every third weekend.
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
• Shifts may be 8 or 10 hours, with options for 12-hour shifts available.

Additional Information

• Position will float within scope to meet facility needs.
• Only candidates with local residency will not be accepted; out-of-state applicants are welcome.
• This role is a short-term acute care position.
