Job Full Description

Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 5:00pm

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00/HR

Duties:

Safely operate a Class A CDL tractor-trailer on dedicated recycling routes throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, and Michigan.
Transport and deliver loads in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
Perform drop-and-hook deliveries, which make up approximately 80% of loads.
Complete live load and live unload deliveries, accounting for approximately 20% of loads.
Safely back into docks and maneuver equipment in customer and warehouse locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any equipment concerns.
Utilize a smartphone and transportation apps for communication, routing, and delivery documentation.
Maintain accurate logs, paperwork, and delivery records.
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers and receiving personnel.
Keep the truck clean, organized, and in good working condition.
Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety requirements.

Qualifications:

Valid Class A CDL required.
Previous Class A CDL driving experience preferred.
Safe driving record with a commitment to safety and compliance.
Experience with drop-and-hook freight and dock backing preferred.
Ability to operate a Freightliner tractor-trailer.
Comfortable using a smartphone and mobile applications for work-related tasks.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
Ability to repeatedly enter and exit the truck cab throughout the workday.
