Product Owner For CoFolio Application

The person recruited will be assigned to the DGSA, under the authority of the Director and the Chief Project Officer of the ESR (Higher Education and Research) component of the AVENIR(s) Program, and in liaison with the Technical Coordinator of the ESR AVENIR(s) component.

After a successful start phase by an external consulting firm, we are internalizing the key role of Product Owner to propel the CoFolio application (a future e-portfolio for French higher education). You will take over an existing backlog to coordinate future versions. This position is a perfect balance between production (writing User Stories, conducting workshops) and strategic coordination. Your impact:

· Framing and specifications: transform the needs of business experts into Epics and actionable User Stories written and actionable on GitHub.

· Agile animation and method: be the bridge of trust between the technical team (developers) and the business during Scrum ceremonies.

· Delivery guarantor: coordinate and actively participate in testing phases (functional reception, etc.).

· Product backlog and delivery:

o Write, refine and document Epics and User Stories (US) on a daily basis, associating precise, actionable acceptance criteria for developers;

o Prepare refinement sessions by consolidating needs, identifying points of attention, and ensuring that User Stories have the necessary maturity level to be instructed by the development team;

o Rely on the technical expertise of the project to assess the impacts of architecture, security, accessibility, eco-design, performance, interoperability, or maintainability;

o Ensure the fine-cutting of functionalities to maintain a regular delivery flow, while guaranteeing perfect traceability between the initial need and the produced code;

o Keep the project wiki and functional documentation up to date to remain the absolute reference for all stakeholders.

· Agile piloting and functional acceptance:

o Order, prioritize and clean the Product Backlog by arbitrating continuously between user value, business urgency and technical constraints;

o Map the product trajectory through PI Planning rituals and ensure the coherence of the short and medium-term roadmap;

o Actively participate in all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Review) as the single voice of the product and the users;

o Take charge of functional acceptance: test yourself the deliveries on the dedicated environment, validate the conformity of US and coordinate the test plan with business experts.

· Interface and strategic alignment:

o Embody the product vision and its coherence over the long term, by transparently sharing progress indicators or alerts with the AVENIR(s) direction and the technical coordinator;

o Contribute to the operational piloting of the product in coordination with the AVENIR(s) direction and the technical coordinator, ensuring coherence between the functional roadmap, the capacity of realization and the objectives of the program;

o Play a key connector role by ensuring smooth communication between the pedagogical teams on the ground, the consortium partners and the technical team;

o Contribute to the valorization of the product by participating in communication actions and by carrying the voice of the CoFolio application.

Special working conditions:

· Majority remote work with the national team of developers and with partners, with occasional in-person trips (about once a month) for workshops and steering committees

· Occasional national trips to partner institutions of the AVENIR(s) consortium ESR component

· Missions may evolve according to the needs of the AVENIR(s) program ESR component

Competences:

Knowledge:

· Proven mastery of Scrum and Kanban frameworks, and ideally of PI Planning dynamics (Scaled Agile / SAFe)

· Strong sensitivity to modern web architectures, security issues, and interoperability principles (APIs, data flows).

· Excellent knowledge of user journeys and mastery of digital accessibility standards (RGAA) and eco-design.

· Understanding (or strong willingness to acculturate) of the pedagogical and institutional issues of Higher Education (Approach By Competencies, portfolios).

Know-how:

· Ability to transform complex and multi-actor business needs into impeccably structured Epics and User Stories (clear, actionable, INVEST criteria/precise) ;

· Independently pilot, prioritize and clean a Product Backlog on GitHub/GitLab or Jira by arbitrating between business value and technical debt;

· Operational use of Figma to prototype simple user journeys, wireframes and responsive views to validate concepts before development;

· Frame and conduct Agile rituals (Sprint Planning, Refinement, Review) as well as co-design workshops with varied audiences (experts, students, teachers) ;

· Design test plans, execute end-to-end functional acceptance recipes and rigorously centralize the follow-up of anomalies;

· Write and keep up-to-date a clear and accessible product documentation and functional communication supports on the project wiki.

Know-how:

· Ability to produce alone, to self-organize and to carry out its projects without daily managerial supervision;

· Excellence in written and asynchronous communication, essential to collaborate effectively within a national team working mostly remotely;

· Diplomatic posture and strong empathy to converge the interests of a multi-partner consortium and to ensure the Business/Technical interface;

· Ability to propose concrete solutions in the face of blockages and to adapt to the evolutions of a large-scale program;

· Active monitoring of the best tools and practices of Product Management to drive the project forward.

Education and professional experience desired:

· BAC+5 degree (engineering school, business school, master's in project management or digital creation). A Product Owner certification (PSPO, CSPO or equivalent) is an asset. Significant experience as a Product Owner or PO assistant, ideally in multi-partner or institutional projects of high complexity.

• Gross monthly salary: from 1944.50€ (INM 395 - step 1) - proposed remuneration to take into account degrees and professional experience in respect of the salary scale of normal class study engineers
