Our organization is a physician-led multispecialty group with over 650 providers, presenting an exciting opportunity for an Orthopedic Hand Surgeon to become part of our dynamic clinic in a thriving community.

Key Responsibilities:

The role involves comprehensive management of patients with orthopedic hand conditions. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Conducting patient examinations
• Performing in-office procedures
• Administering multiple joint injections
• Applying casts and braces
• Carrying out pre-operative assessments and physicals
• Executing surgical interventions
• Providing post-operative follow-up care
• Managing both acute and chronic non-surgical conditions

The orthopedic surgeon will also be tasked with ordering, interpreting, and evaluating laboratory and diagnostic results, prescribing medications, and formulating treatment plans. Additionally, the role includes on-call responsibilities, which involve regular engagement with a leading Level 2 trauma facility in Idaho for both general orthopedic and hand trauma cases. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with a call requirement of 7 days per month for Level 2 Trauma Facility Hand and General Orthopedic calls.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for orthopedic health, showcasing exceptional assessment skills, advanced clinical expertise, and effective problem-solving capabilities.

Team Support:

The new surgeon will join a well-established team comprising 7 orthopedic surgeons, 2 non-operative sports medicine physicians, several podiatrists, and a full range of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) specializing in general orthopedics, sports medicine, foot and ankle care, hand surgery, and orthopedic spine surgery. This team currently operates across 4 clinic locations and 2 hospitals, and is actively involved in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC).

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
• Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited orthopedic residency program.
• Board certification from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS) or the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery (AOBOS), or the ability to obtain such certification within 3 years of employment.
• Completion of a Hand Fellowship with a strong capability to treat and manage complex hand trauma.
• Ability to secure Idaho medical licensure and privileges at the relevant hospitals, along with valid controlled substance registration with the Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
