Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist - Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is hiring a Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist (formerly Medical Technologist) to perform diagnostic testing on patient samples and analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits to aid physicians in the diagnosis or monitoring of various disease states.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in related field as required by individual clients.
• Valid ASCP, AMT, or AAB certification required.
• In licensure states, Laboratory Licensure in appropriate specialty for the department or location assignment as applicable to the state.
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience within the Clinical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Technologist specialty.
• Experience using Cerner laboratory information systems.
• Experience with Sysmex and CellaVision systems preferred.
• Experience working in a large hospital laboratory environment (ideally 600+ beds) preferred.
• Competence performing neonatal and adult differential cell counts preferred.
• BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience handling a high-volume, complex workload in an acute care hospital laboratory.
• Prior experience with large neonatal units and complex sample types.

Assignment Details

• Location: Atlanta, GA.
• Facility type: Hospital.
• Shift pattern: 5x8 schedule.
• Schedule example noted as 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (may vary).
• Facility will consider only Medical Laboratory Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist credentials; Medical Laboratory Technician will not be considered.
• Candidates may be expected to work in a high-volume, busy laboratory environment and transition quickly into responsibilities.
