Ambulatory Nurse

Position Details Facility: Child Health Pavilion, Department: Dayton Children's Pediatrics. Schedule: Full time, 36 hours per week. Job Overview The Ambulatory Nurse is a nursing staff position that reports to the Administrative Manager. Responsibilities include performing treatments, administering medications, assisting in procedures performed without anesthesia while using aseptic technique, assisting with employee education and orientation, providing patient/family education to improve health outcomes, involving families or significant others in health planning and decisions, delegating and evaluating care to assistive personnel following hospital nursing plans, recognizing and advocating for individual patient care needs, and providing considerate, respectful care while affirming patient decision rights. Department Specific Job Details Hours: 7:30am–5pm Monday–Friday; one set‑off day per week, rotating Monday evenings. Commitment to obtain a Bachelors of Science in Nursing within five years of hire. Graduation from an accredited nursing program. Registered Nursing license in the State of Ohio required.
