Registered Nurse IR/Special Procedures

$2611.20/week

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care in a radiology and interventional procedures setting, supporting diagnostic and treatment procedures with a focus on patient safety and comfort. Responsible for patient admission, discharge, and follow-up activities, as well as administering medications and monitoring for specific device cases.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Admit patients for various radiology and interventional procedures, ensuring accurate documentation and preparation.
  
  
• 
  Discharge patients post-procedure, providing instructions and coordinating follow-up care.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications for diagnostic and interventional cases, adhering to protocols.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patients for MRI pacemaker cases and support anesthesia teams during radiology procedures.
  
  
• 
  Provide moderate sedation during interventional radiology procedures, maintaining patient safety.
  
  
• 
  Support the clinical team with patient assessments and ensure compliance with hospital safety standards.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Current California Registered Nurse license (RNBLS) required.
  
  
• 
  Valid ACLS and PALS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Prior experience in interventional radiology nursing within the past 5 years preferred.
  
  
• 
  Critical care or acute care hospital experience within the past 5 years preferred.
  
  
• 
  Proficiency with EPIC EMR system required.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work varied shifts, including on-call hours during weekdays and weekends.
