This role owns the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the plant's financial results while ensuring strong internal controls and driving continuous improvement. This is a hands‑on, highly visible role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, lean manufacturing environment and enjoys blending technical accounting expertise with operational partnership. Key Responsibilities Month‑End Close Leadership – Lead and execute the full month‑end close cycle, ensuring timely and accurate financial results in a lean team environment. Journal Entry & Reconciliation Oversight – Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Inventory Accounting Management – Oversee inventory valuation, reserves, cycle counts, and physical inventory processes. Standard Costing & Variance Analysis – Maintain and update standard costs; analyze labor, overhead, and manufacturing variances. Internal Controls & Compliance – Support SOX and internal control requirements; ensure compliance with US GAAP. Process Improvement Initiatives – Identify and implement opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance accuracy. Audit Support – Prepare audit schedules and documentation for internal and external audits. Cost & Operational Analysis – Perform detailed cost analysis to support operational decision‑making. Reporting & Insights – Deliver recurring and ad‑hoc reporting for plant leadership and corporate finance. Cross‑Functional Partnership – Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and corporate teams in a hands‑on plant environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting , Finance , or Business field 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing Strong expertise in cost accounting , standard costing , and inventory management Experience with manufacturing ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis) Solid understanding of US GAAP and internal controls (SOX experience a plus) Proven ability to independently manage the month‑end close Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities Effective communicator with the ability to partner across functions Self‑starter with a high sense of ownership , urgency , and accountability Demonstrated track record of process improvement and driving efficiencies Relocation Relocation is authorized for this position.
