Duties and Responsibilities

• Attend comprehensive exams and assist in presenting treatment plans alongside the dentist, using patient-friendly language to ensure clarity and understanding.
• Display proficiency in presenting financial options to patients, including upfront payments, interest-free and extended financing options, encouraging informed and feasible decisions.
• Effectively communicate the value and urgency of recommended treatments, employing a no-pressure approach to enhance patient comfort and acceptance.
• Consistently follow up on unscheduled treatments and incomplete cases, ensuring no patient's treatment needs are overlooked.
• Meticulously manage and track all pending treatment plans, ensuring comprehensive care coordination and follow-through.
• Verify dental insurance benefits ahead of discussions about finances to provide patients with precise estimates and help them understand their benefits.
• Coordinate closely with the scheduling team to secure treatment appointments promptly, aiming for convenience and efficacy.
• Maintain and analyze personal case acceptance metrics, using these figures to guide performance improvements and meet scheduled production goals.
• Keep detailed and accurate records in the practice management software, adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient data confidentiality and security.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in dental front office activities or treatment coordination is essential.
• Demonstrable skills in presenting treatment plans and financial options confidently and effectively.
• Adequate knowledge of dental insurance, including PPO plans and familiarity with third-party financing options such as CareCredit or Sunbit.
• Proficiency in using dental practice management software systems, such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, is required.
• Strong verbal communication and active listening skills are critical for success in this role.
• A patient-first approach and the capacity to professionally handle and overcome objections is a must.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple treatment plans and cases efficiently.
• Accountability in meeting case acceptance and scheduled production targets, with a track record of measurable success in previous roles.
