Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician performs preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facilities to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations across multiple sites. This role focuses on mechanical systems, light low-voltage electrical work, and facilities support in an indoor, air-conditioned production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair conveyors, ensuring smooth and reliable material handling operations.
  • Maintain, repair, and adjust pumps to support consistent and accurate product flow.
  • Service and troubleshoot mixers to ensure proper operation and product quality.
  • Maintain and repair manual fillers to support accurate filling operations and production efficiency.
  • Install, inspect, and repair pneumatic systems, including valves, lines, and related components.
  • Perform light low-voltage electrical work up to 208V, including basic troubleshooting and minor repairs.
  • Support general facilities maintenance, including mechanical and basic electrical systems, to ensure all sites remain safe and operational.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety procedures while performing all maintenance tasks.
  • Document maintenance activities, including PMs and repairs, in accordance with company standards.
  • Coordinate with production and other teams to schedule and complete maintenance with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Travel between multiple facilities as needed to provide maintenance support across all designated sites.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Strong mechanical skills with proven ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
  • Hands-on experience working with conveyors, pumps, mixers, and manual fillers.
  • Practical knowledge of pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
  • Basic electrical understanding, including light low-voltage work up to 208V.
  • Experience in facilities maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to follow and apply Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Capability to support multiple sites and adapt to different facility layouts and equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Familiarity with documenting maintenance activities and following established maintenance schedules.
  • Ability to communicate effectively within a bilingual team environment.
  • Comfort working across different facility types, including production, distribution, and office support areas.

Work Environment

You will work primarily in an indoor, air-conditioned facility with approximately 25,000 square feet of manufacturing space, providing a comfortable and controlled environment. The role requires travel between three sites, including the main manufacturing facility in Seminole, a distribution center, a corporate office, and a warehouse, to support all facilities as needed. The team operates in a bilingual, Spanish-speaking environment, promoting close collaboration and clear communication among colleagues.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.

automatic shift differential after 4:30pm of $1/hr Travel allowance- paid week-.71/ mile 1-2 lunches provided per week biannual bonus of 2.5% of salary M/D/V - florida blue No 401k PTO - 40 hours in 1st 90 days, 40 hours can roll over. 80-90-112 hours pending tenure. Holiday - 6 days Birthday holiday performance and merit increases End of year company part and gift.
