The selected candidate will perform high-quality ironwork and fabrication on active construction sites while maintaining strong organization, clear communication, and reliable time management. POSITION SUMMARY

The Traveling Ironworker Welder/Fabricator is responsible for supporting field erection and shop fabrication, with the majority of work performed on multi‑week travel assignments at project sites. This role requires working overnight shifts while completing certified structural welding, assisting with steel erection, and contributing to fabrication projects from start to finish. Candidates must have 3–5 years of ironwork experience, welding proficiency with 232 certifications, and the physical ability to perform demanding tasks in both shop and field environments. Success in this position requires full availability for extended travel, comfortable with an overnight work schedule, and the adaptability to operate in varying jobsite conditions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Include but are not limited to:

• Assist Field Foreman with jobsite preparation and erection activities on job sites.
• Perform structural welding.
• Load and unload materials and tools to support daily operations.
• Able to work out of town for up to 2 weeks at a time
• When you are not in the field, there will be fabrication and general work in the shop
• Assist with fabrication projects in the shop and field.
• Operate machinery, hand tools, and welders safely and effectively.
• Ensure tools are properly stored after use.
• Maintain a clean and organized job area.
• Support adherence to safety protocols and procedures.

QUALIFICATION

• 3-5 years' iron work experience
• 232 structural welding certification and welding proficiency required
• OSHA 10 certificate, preferred
• Machinery operations certificate, preferred
• Ability to assist with field erection and jobsite preparation
• Experience with fabrication work in both shop and field setting
• Skilled in operating welders, machinery, and hand tools safely
• Willingness to travel and work out of town for extended periods
  
• Willingness to work all overnight shifts
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
