Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

We are currently seeking a experienced and dedicated RN (Registered Nurses) to join our caring team of professionals as the ADON. About us: Ridgecrest Health & Rehab is tucked into a quiet and relaxing community in DeLand, FL. Ridgecrest provides top of the line care and rehabilitation services, designed around our guests' needs. Through personalized care plans our guests experience quality care in a close-knit community. Summary of the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON): The Assistant Director of Nursing will manage administrative and functional areas or programs within the Nursing Department. The ADON supports the overall operation of the facility, assuring adherence to company policies, standards of nursing practices, and government regulations, in order to promote the highest quality care for our residents and patients.

Requirements of the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON):

Registered Nurse in good standing with required current Florida state license.
Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience.
Experience in Long Term Care Nursing.
One (1) to two (2) years management/supervisory experience preferred.
Must have a current/active CPR certification.
Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment.
Ability to work under stressful conditions.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON):

Meet the nursing medical needs of all residents
Responsible for coordinating infection control
Responsible for educating the staff
Assist with compliance and ensure effective communication with all levels of nursing staff
Coordinate and direct the total planning for nursing services
Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practice
Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of medical records
Assist with interviewing, hiring and orienting of new nursing staff
Maintain flexibility with work schedule to address unpredictable needs
