What You'll Do
- Conduct assessments for residents to evaluate speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for patients in long-term care settings.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate patient care.
- Oversee and contribute to compliance with facility regulations and PDPM processes.
- Support and guide facility staff on best practices for communication and swallowing management.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly.
- Assist with documentation and reporting to ensure accurate, compliant records.
What You Need
Required:
- Valid licensure as a Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) in Missouri
- Relevant certifications as required by state and federal law
- Prior experience working with high-acuity patients in long-term care (preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with interdisciplinary collaboration
- Familiarity with PDPM processes and rehabilitation program development
