Accounts Payable Accountant

LHH is partnering with a growing company to identify a temporary to hire Accounts Payable Accountant. This individual will be the only AP contributor on the accounting team and will need to be comfortable managing all aspects of the accounts payable cycle. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of accounting experience with professional communication skills. You will work with a supportive team and have the opportunity to grow with the company as they grow. This position offers a hybrid work schedule from Redmond, WA after training.

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume invoices, including coding, matching, and data entry
• Review and verify invoices for accuracy, approvals, and proper documentation
• Prepare and execute weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Maintain vendor records, including W-9s and payment terms
• Assist with month-end close, including accruals and AP aging analysis
• Respond to vendor inquiries and build strong vendor relationships
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
• Support audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Five or more years of accounts payable or accounting experience
• Experience with full-cycle AP processing in a high-volume environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (ERP experience preferred)
• Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Pay Details: $35.00 to $37.00 per hour
