Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr Buyer $70,000-80,000 Direct Hire Opportunity! Company Overview: Kelly Services has partnered with a leading supplier in the manufacturing industry seeking a Buyer to join their team. Having established business for over 30 years, our client’s products are essential in various industries, including hygiene, medical, and laminated products. The ideal candidate must have a strong background with SAP and purchasing in the manufacturing industry. Apply today for immediate consideration! Responsibilities: Verify requisitions with MRP to ensure need for orders and inventory levels. Review needs for departments and then negotiate and order appropriately. Review and compare quotes to ensure the best price for the company. Issue Requests for Quotes (RFQ) and Purchase Orders (PO). Follow up on open orders. Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods and compliance with contracts. Work with multiple departments to resolve supply chain issues. Prepare reports as necessary to review inventory and purchasing trends. Research parts and help colleagues locate and source materials. Ensure quality by continually watching for any abnormality and reporting it. Follow company procedures and use material and equipment per manufacturers’ directions. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience: Proficiency in SAP is required 3+ years of experience in Purchasing in a Manufacturing environment Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience in Supply Chain and Procurement Basic understanding of ERP/MRP and min/max ordering. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus.
