Public Relations Account Executive, Lifestyle

Our lifestyle and wellness clients cover a lot of ground: home, food, fitness, sleep, travel, and the products people buy when they're trying to feel better. We're hiring an Account Executive to get those brands into the stories, roundups, and segments people actually act on. You'll pitch lifestyle, health, and consumer desks, place clients in gift guides and seasonal coverage, line up expert commentary, and support broadcast and event press. The media work is yours to run. Wellness carries a credibility bar that other categories don't. You'll learn to handle health claims and expert spokespeople carefully, which is a skill that follows you for the rest of your career. What you'll do Media relations and pitching Pitch lifestyle, health, wellness, home, and shopping desks across digital, print, and broadcast Land clients in gift guides, seasonal roundups, and product reviews, and start on them earlier than feels necessary Pitch expert commentary and trend stories, and get spokespeople into service journalism Build relationships with editors, writers, and segment producers across national and category media Track cultural and seasonal moments and get clients into them on time Writing and materials Draft releases, media alerts, pitches, bios, and briefing docs in each brand's voice Research and draft award and speaking submissions Write recaps and reports that show what the coverage actually did Team and integration Support press events, activations, and product sends, including help on site Work with our affiliate, influencer, and events teams so earned, commerce, and creator work connect Keep trackers and coverage reports current without being chased What we're looking for: 2 to 4 years in PR, ideally agency-side with lifestyle, wellness, health, food, or home brands A record of getting clients into gift guides, roundups, and service coverage Comfortable with expert spokespeople and broadcast, or eager to learn both quickly Careful with health claims and able to spot a line that shouldn't go out A strong writer who can make an everyday product feel worth writing about Organized and calm across a lot of small moving pieces Curious about wellness without being credulous about it Bonus: broadcast booking, supplement or food brands, or event and activation press About HCM HCM is a strategic communications agency for ambitious consumer-tech companies.
