Infrastructure ArchitectLocation: Baltimore, MDFTE onlyJob Description:Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)Exadata, Linux, SolarisVirtualization and containerization (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes)Networking, storage, and server technologiesInfrastructure automation and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)Roles & Responsibilities• Architecture & Design• Design and document scalable infrastructure solutions (on-prem, cloud, hybrid).• Define infrastructure standards, patterns, and best practices.• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools.• Engineering & Implementation• Lead the deployment and configuration of servers, storage, networking, and cloud services.• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.• Ensure integration with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.• Operations & Optimization• Monitor system performance and implement improvements.• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.• Manage capacity planning and cost optimization, especially in cloud environments.• Collaboration & Leadership• Work closely with software engineering, security, and operations teams.• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing.
