Senior Manager, Full Stack Software Engineering

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal software engineering training or certification, with at least 5 years of applied experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational support, plus at least 2 years leading technologists on complex technical work.
• Ability to guide and coach teams in achieving goals aligned with strategic initiatives.
• Experience leading multiple teams in adopting enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and delivery tools, including setting governance and ways of working, defining human validation and quality gates, measuring outcomes, and protecting sensitive inputs and outputs.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering, including data sensitivity, security, resiliency, and control expectations, and the ability to coach technical leaders on safe adoption.
• Proficiency with back-end technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js, as well as front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or Angular; experience building microservices-based applications.
• Ability to independently resolve design and functionality challenges with minimal supervision.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, distributed systems, and web technologies, including RESTful APIs, web services, WebSockets, and JSON.
• Hands-on experience designing and developing scalable applications with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and knowledge of the software development life cycle.
• Advanced understanding of Agile engineering practices, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
• Preferred: problem-solving and analytical skills, a track record of sharing and contributing best practices, banking domain experience, or an AWS certification.

• Provide direction, oversight, and coaching to entry- and mid-level software engineers working on basic to moderately complex tasks.
• Make decisions affecting team resources, budgets, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes.
• Establish and scale operating practices for authorized AI-assisted engineering and SDLC/TLM automation across teams, setting measurable expectations for delivery, quality, and operational outcomes while ensuring validation, security, resiliency, and reuse of proven patterns.
• Apply SDLC toolchain expertise, including authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve efficiency and support capacity initiatives, prioritizing existing firm technology assets.
• Promote effective collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate issues affecting delivery of assigned work, escalating when needed.
• Advise leadership on budgets, approaches, and technical considerations that can improve operational efficiency and team functionality.
