Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced travel RN for an IMC/PCU position requiring at least 2 years of experience including 1 year of travel, with critical care and telemetry backgrounds, working night shifts at a busy intermediate care unit.

Details

• Intermediate Care Unit (IMC/PCU) in a hospital setting with 24 staffed beds and an average daily census of 24
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities within a 75-mile radius
• Block scheduling requests are not accepted
• Charting is performed using Epic

Requirements

• Active OK or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, EKG Course/Telemetry certification, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year of travel nursing experience
• Current critical care and telemetry experience required
• Valid driver's license or state-issued ID and a utility bill in the candidate's name with a matching address from within the last 3 months are required for consideration
• 2 supervisory references required for consideration
• Copies of all certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not eligible — prior travel nursing experience is required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from this health system for at least 1 year to be eligible
• RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer per 13-week assignment; no holiday or blackout dates may be requested
• A 12-week contract assignment
