About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room (OR) Circulator / Scrub for a 13-week contract opportunity in Devils Lake, North Dakota. The RN will function in both circulating and scrub roles while providing safe perioperative nursing care throughout the preoperative, intraoperative, and immediate postoperative phases.

Responsibilities

• Function as an OR circulator by coordinating patient care, documenting surgical procedures, advocating for patient safety, and maintaining regulatory and sterile-environment standards.

• Perform scrub nurse duties including establishing the sterile field, preparing instruments and supplies, passing instruments and medications, and completing required surgical counts.

• Support surgical procedures including C-sections, hand surgery, podiatry, cataracts, and other perioperative specialties within demonstrated competency.

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, nurses, and other perioperative professionals throughout surgical procedures.

• Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition, maintain accurate Epic documentation, and support safe perioperative care in a rural surgical environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 Years of Recent Operating Room RN Experience With Demonstrated Circulating and Scrub Competency Required.

• Current North Dakota Registered Nurse License or Active Compact RN License Required by Assignment Start.

• Current BLS Certification Required; ACLS and PALS Required as Applicable to Facility Requirements.

• Previous Travel Nursing Experience and Epic EMR Experience Required; Rural Healthcare Experience Preferred.

• Experience With C-Sections, Hand Cases, Podiatry, and Cataract Procedures Required; Must Be Available for Weekday C-Section Call Coverage.
