With minimal supervision, the Lead will be the first point of escalation and trouble-shooting for the Patient Access Scheduling Coordinator in the clinical department. Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Lead will monitor unit specific operations and flow to include but not limited to patient and non-patient facing duties, liaison to clinical teams pertaining to scheduling actions, ensuring timely completion of request lists as required to meet business needs, and minimize patient wait times. In addition, Leads are responsible for knowing and fulfilling the duties of a Patient Access Scheduling Coordinator (PASC) to include registering and checking in patients as they arrive for their visit and for scheduling any orders and appointments requested by the patient’s care team as patients depart.Hours: Saturday-Wednesday 7:00a-3:30pJob Title: Lead Patient Access Scheduling CoordinatorMinimum Education Level: High School Diploma/GEDMinimum Field of Study:Minimum Education Notes:Preferred Education Level:Preferred Field of Study:Preferred Education Notes:Licensure Certification Needed: NoMinimum Licensure:Minimum Licensure (Other):Training Required: One or more year's experience in a hospital, outpatient facility or physician office scheduling or registration setting, or performing data processing is preferred.
