Maintenance Technician - Part Time

Maintenance TechnicianJoin our team at Hueston Woods Lodge & Conference Center as a Maintenance Technician on the night shift. In this part-time role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities, performing routine maintenance and repairs, and responding promptly to maintenance requests. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the quality and comfort of our property for guests and staff alike.Location: Hueston Woods Lodge, 5201 Lodge Road, College Corner, OHMUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYSStarting Rate is $15 - $17/hour depending on experiencePRE-REQUISITES:General knowledge in plumbing, electricity, HVAC and carpentryGeneral knowledge of tools used in above tasks.General knowledge of power tools, lawn tools, andMust be able to use paints.Benefits:Opportunities for professional growth and development.PTOHoliday Pay (including your birthday).Food, room and retail discounts.401(k) Retirement Savings PlanResponsibilities:Perform routine inspections and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and effective manner during the evening shift.Maintain accurate maintenance logs and reports.Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.Assist with set-ups and repairs related to events and conference activities.Collaborate with other departments to support operations as needed.Maintain the grounds around lodge and cabins.Requirements:Prior experience in maintenance, facilities management, or a related field preferred.Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.Handle general room calls (TV's, lights, plumbing, heating/cooling, etc.).Test and maintain pools.Assist guests and visitors on a daily basis.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently during the evening shift.Good communication and organizational skills.Physical ability to perform manual labor and operate maintenance equipment.Must be able to work weekends and holidaysOTHER REQUIREMENTS:A willingness to help other departments as time permits.A willingness to learn.Must be able to lift over 40lbs. repeatedly.A valid driver’s license.Must be available to work evening shift, weekends and holidays.Must be able to repeatedly and continuously bend, reach, lift, push, and twistAbout the CompanyHueston Woods Lodge & Conference Center, located in College Corner, OH, is known for providing exceptional hospitality in a beautiful natural setting.
