Analyzes and evaluates equipment performance used in the delivery of radiation therapy. Provides technical assistance and clinical support to Consultant staff and Allied health personnel as needed. Remains current in treatment techniques and applicable medical physics practice. Provides instruction to residents, dosimetry staff, therapy staff, pre and postdoctoral students. Develops, and performs quality assurance procedures and monitors radiation output, mechanical integrity and safety of equipment used in radiation therapy. Remains current on Federal, State, and Institutional safety guidelines.QualificationsM.S., M.M.P., D.M.P., or Ph.D. in Medical Physics or a master's and/or doctoral degree in Physics or a related field. American Board of Radiology, Therapeutic Medical Physics certification or equivalent. Three years post-degree clinical medical physics experience. Is expected to be credentialed in most procedures practiced in our clinic. Certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) in Therapeutic Radiologic Physics and/or the American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP) in Radiation Oncology PhysicsExemption Status Exempt Compensation Detail Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. Annual salary compensation range is $201,000 - $302,000 USD. Benefits Eligible Yes Schedule Full Time Hours/Pay Period 80 Schedule Details Nominally 0800-1700 Monday-Friday, though, some clinical coverages start earlier (~0630) and later (~1200) than others. Flexing time to accommodate clinical needs is expected. Weekend Schedule Nominal weekend work is not scheduled, though, occasional weekend work may arise.
