ICON seeks a Medical Monitor to provide strategic medical leadership and scientific guidance across clinical project portfolios. The role involves leading medical affairs teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and representing the department in business development within a sponsor-dedicated model.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic medical leadership and guidance to project teams
Deliver expert medical and scientific consultation throughout project lifecycles
Ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and regulatory standards in medical monitoring
Represent Medical Affairs Department in business development activities
Lead and develop high-performing medical affairs teams across portfolio

Requirements

MD or equivalent medical degree with therapeutic area specialization preferred
Proven medical leadership and consultation experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and ethical standards in clinical research
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for departmental representation
Demonstrated ability to provide operational management independently
Willingness to travel approximately 10% as required
